February 15, 2020 - Tried this wine from a friend- I have 6 bottles of my own.
A beautiful Sangio, showing off anise, red cherry, mint, with rather fierce, finely-grained tannins, and a long and puckering finish. Too early, wait til 2024 to open my first one.

    January 11, 2020 - Brunello form top vintage 2010
    Garnet color despite young age
    Mature bouquet, figs, vanilla tobacco
On palate the opposite, seems young, almost borderline immature. Cherries and tomato. Dry. Balance to the astringent side but with a powerful acidity keeping the tannins in check. Med+ body and alcohol.
    Semi-long/semi-complex finish.
Seems to young right now. Probably due to the hot weather around harvest.
Paired with classic italian style pizza - a perfect match making the wine seems more mature than is.

January 7, 2020 - Very good, still developing. Roughly two and a half years since my last bottle, and this is now, mostly, in the secondary camp. That said, the palate offers lovely depth, and purity, yet the complexity I believe is inside will still require a few more years of patience before this has reached the beginning of its preferred plateau. Happy to have 3 more, and will likely begin looking at them in another 3+ years; drink thru 2035, at least. highly recommended

January 5, 2020 - Blackcurrant notes remain dominant and pronounced, something I like and appreciate. Good acidity and better integration of tannins relative to my prior tastings. Not much complexity though, hence, a lower score since my last tasting. Benefited from decanting for 1+ hour.

December 28, 2019 - Very solid - dark cherries, tar, forest floor. It’s tasty.
