Community Tasting Notes 13

June 15, 2014 - Starts off with a nice rich nose of the garrigue so prominent in the region. The initial palate is also rich and delicious but then immediately takes on a stewed fruits taste and very pruney finish. I am not a fan of this vintage.

October 26, 2013 - Very impressed - decanted for 3 hours, complex nose of tobacco, herbs, dark fruits (blackcurrant, cherry), with a nice sweetness (almost caramel). Tiny bit of heat. Nice weight on the palate with secondary complexity emerging and great length -serious - typically Pegau - as good as the critics suggest - lovely.

October 20, 2012 - Almost port like nose and palate with figs, dates and smokey-toasty oak and with hours more air time displays cedar as well. Tannins are resolved enough that this flows across the palate like velvet. This is the best vintage of Pegau that I’ve tasted. I’ve no doubt this will age effortlessly. Loving this wine! “Vieux Vins import.
