May 31, 2015 - It's been a BB kind of weekend. This Roussanne delivers a punch! Finally someone who makes a Roussanne that compares to Kuhlman Cellars (with Paso fruit...). Tasting notes are a little sparse, and trust me I was trying to make tasting notes....as soon as I stopped concentrating on how GOOD it was and focused on WHY, the bottle was just about gone. This one opens up with sharp acidity but with a very silky mouthfeel, notes of kiwi (I think). There is a lighter, crisp almost like a honeycrisp apple in here? Towards the middle, honeysuckle starts to percolate in. The strength of this wine is in its awesome finish, that is dominated mainly by lemongrass but still maintains that kiwi and tropical acidity motif. Nice wine for a nice fair weather day in May!
