June 6, 2018 - Alentejo Trip; 6/3/2018-6/8/2018: Light orange color. Nose of apricots, dense honey, graham cracker, some spiced herbal liqueur. Rich texture, sweet but not too heavy. Orange marmalade, apricot, with honey and almond and graham cracker. Notes of fennel and clove. 14% alcohol. No botrytis here, this is made from half regular fruit and half from fruit that's been raisined on cut shoots. Pretty cool stuff. Low acidity, but I'm still really liking this.

December 24, 2016 - Pleasant if unexceptional late harvest wine from Esporao. Nevertheless good to see an estate trying to produce desert wine in Portugal. There's Moscatel de Setubal and then there's Port but not much unfortified sweet wine. So well done Esporao and here's hoping the wine improves in future vintages

December 11, 2014 - The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like orange, fig, raisin, pear, light toast, sandalwood and vanilla. It tastes like raspberry, raisin, lychee, light toast and coconut. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
