May 26, 2022 - 2nd bottle of 3. Maybe a little better? Still chemical on the nose, liquid rubber on the tongue. Rich but acidic. Not looking forward to bottle 3.
May 26, 2022 - So bad possibly defective. Instant revulsion that lingered.
October 18, 2016 - Spices and black fruits on the nose, palate coherent with nose with a fresh, slightly sweet touch. Easy to drink malbec, good as an everyday wine.
February 19, 2016 - perfectly fine table wine. a bit clunky and flat, needs a lift of acidity, not one of the better versions I've had of this wine.
January 5, 2016 - Smells like a wet soil malbec with a more hallow mid palate.
November 8, 2015 - Enjoyable, versatile, easy-drinking. On the lighter side of Malbec. Fresh, medium/medium (+) acidity.
August 11, 2015 - Purple-ruby color, young; nose has red cherry, spice, nice blend on the nose; palate is medium bodied, lots of juicy red and black fruit, freshness from balanced acidity, no tannin at all, very smooth; finish is short. This is a great $15 bottle of wine with character and wonderfully easy to drink, and would be fantastic with any meal, but it lacks density and complexity of fruit to be an excellent wine. 87-88
August 11, 2015 - Popped and poured. Sweet black fruit aroma. Tart flavors of nectarine and blackberries. Spicy red fruit finish. Firm acids, pleasant flavors, good staying power, linear. Geared more towards the acid lover's end of the Cahors spectrum, as opposed to the dark, rustic side - but traditionally styled Cahors nonetheless. Very good now, and a great value. Needs to gain more depth and complexity to move to the next level.
February 17, 2015 - Red fruit, fresh nerbs throughout this wine.. Medium body, medium acidity and firm tannins. A very nice Cahors that is quite a bit lighter than is usual for the style. Food friendly. 95 Malbec 5 Tannat
