January 6, 2024 - Serious Bourgognes: Quite literally the longest cork I’ve seen on a Bourgogne. Didn’t like this much at first - too much funk and candied strawberry fruit. But after a couple of hours the signature H-N purity and silk emerged. Seamless texture albeit a little light (but not thin), which was to be expected given the vintage and the level. Incredibly fresh at 10 years old for a Bourgogne. One of the top few red Bourgognes every year without any doubt.

    May 3, 2022 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-nearly semi-translucent med dark red mild clearing at edge
    -bright red fruit herbal mint
-med+ acidity, med- weight lean but supple mostly tart herbal red fruit, slightly rustic med tannins
    -pleasant and meets expectations

December 27, 2018 - Another brilliant effort from Alain H-N. As with other vintages, this is far better than its modest appellation would suggest. Worth noting that the bottle is closed with an impressively long and high quality cork. A lovely balance of slightly tart cherry fruit with a hint of Burgundian funk and it has a little more weight than the 2014. Ready now but should last and perhaps develop further over the next 2-3 years. At less than £10 a bottle in bond, a bargain, sadly not repeatable with more recent vintages of this wine.

December 20, 2018 - Bright red fruits and vibrant crunchy acidity. Needs food at this juncture but delicious.
