September 14, 2013 - Dusty dry fruit not soft round a bit astringent.
May 15, 2013 - No personality. I was hoping some time would help this but it still tastes like a well made but basic wine, not even close to be worth the price.

March 25, 2012 - Really nice bottle of wine. Had next to the Favia 2004 pinot , which was out of this world. This bottle was in great shape , some old worldliness going on. Smooth and delicious.
December 16, 2010 - I am still on the limb with this wine. My cellar kept it a little too cold, so once it warmed up i was able to evaluate. I did not find any flaws with this wine, or better said blatant flaws. Nice black cherry on the nose, with a touch of spice ( cedar box), medium tannins, and a simple finish. I guess more or less I expected a little complexity, from this wine, but it was just a simple wine with a little character. My wife raved about the producer, so maybe that's what set my expectation so high. I am going to try it again tonight and see if it has changed
June 13, 2010 - for me too big and new world the 1st night , 2 nights later after being vacuumed up this was much more smooth and easy drinking very nice , i would say less going on which made it better
December 18, 2008 - 14.8% alcohol. Big, dark, rich color, giving a brawny impression that is reflected in the nose. Loads of black fruit, bolstered by ample smoky oak. In the mouth, lush and ripe, with gobs of sweet black fruit and still showing lots of oak on the palate. Not hugely complex, but excellent balance and good acidity. Stunning finish, which is long and smooth, but there is just a touch of heat poking through on it. A-
January 18, 2008 - fantastic! popped and poured with dinner at Pizzaiolo and definitely tight for quite awhile. after about an hour it really opened up and had a lot of the cigar box, tobacco on the nose and palate (lynch bages???) rich and in need of time but with some rough decanting this one would be great. Very enjoyable
