February 28, 2024 - Bookclub (served blind)--Brig (Foretti's in Corona Del Mar): Disgorged March 2015. 2010 base with just 2.5 grams of dosage. Didn't write down the cepage ratios. I tasted this when it was first opened, and then I went back to try again at the end of the meal just about 3 hrs later. Bread dough, lots of acid, prickly orange, raspberry and even a rose petal note. The balance early on seemed a bit challenged to me, tangy finish. At dinner's end, this had changed, evolving with more fruit and richness. Golden apple with some caramel tones, with lemon in the finish and the appearance of tasty mango. This seems ready to drink and enjoy....as a side note, I wonder how the 738DT is tasting these days? Perhaps the additional sur latte time will extend the drinking window of 738, and I would love to try them side by side blind.

Delicious and crisp, showing green apples, baked bread, and chalk. Drink these up in the next few years IMHO. -

January 12, 2024 - Has hardly moved in the past four years. Steely acidity, energetic minerality, apple and citrus, white flowers and a whiff of white nuts. Hard to believe that this was disgorged almost ten years ago (May 2014). On fine form with no end in sight.
