September 9, 2023 - Brilliant dark red. Smells of cassis and cedar. The fresh, fruit forward palate seems athletic with proper flesh on a solid frame. Lovely with dinner tonite
March 28, 2023 - Funny, was the wine of the night, and wine of the second night as well. Robust, black fruited and right in prime form right now. No reason to wait.
November 16, 2022 - Very dark red. Sweet black fruit and oak nose. The initial impression on the palate is of sweet fruit and oak and as it finishes it is cloying. It did not show well next to the more chiseled 2014 Pape Clement.
The leftover half bottle was even more makeup-forward 24 hours later.
May 22, 2022 - Dried spice and rose scent. Somewhat lean style with plenty of structure. Kirsch, tar and black cherry flavor with ample fine tannins and a long finish.
