November 8, 2015 - {screwcap, 14.5%} Deep ruby; warm and ripe spicy and plummy fruits dominate. There's some vanilla oak too. But the medium tannins are gritty and coarse, and it has an undeniably commercial mein to it, notwithstanding the ripeness and warmth of the red strawberry and plums fruits. There's a bit too much alcohol for the shortish finish to handle too. Basic quaffer, sound, otherwise unremarkable.
