March 21, 2024 - Mature, ready to drink now. Still fresh with no noticeable alcohol. Sweet entry, long dry finish. Only the dry finish is a marker from the hot 2003 conditions. Excellent.

September 15, 2013 - Full bodied classic Rioja, still a bit to oaky for my taste. Second bottle to be kept for 3 more years.

December 12, 2010 - Drank from the bottle, full body with dark ruby color, great nose of leather, vanilla, and fruit. Well integrated tannin, medium finish. Great with or without food.

May 28, 2010 - Paarse wijn, met volle geur van vleeskersen, cederhout, kruiden en meloen. Volle, diepe smaak en een lange afdronk. Stevige tannines, kan nog best wat tijd in de kelder gebruiken voor iets meer balans.

May 17, 2010 - Geur: Mooi rood fruit, vanille, kruidig, de zwoele geur van een galia meloen.
Smaak: Overweldigend. Staat als een huis. Rood fruit, eikenhout, kruiden, karaktervolle taninnes in balans gehouden door een mooie zuurgraad die wat aan citrus doet denken. Nasmaak van een minuut. Een wijn met ballen.
