December 28, 2022 - First of the bottles.... Stunning wine from the aroma as the cork was removed through to the very last sip hours later. The nose had intense violet, dark blue fruit and woodsy notes. First sip one hour after decant displayed sharp tannins that carried stewed prunes, dark blue fruit, tons of spice and wood notes for a long taste profile. The Tannins eased up over time and the complexity of the tastes continued throughout. I will wait a year before cracking another bottle. This wine has a good 20 years of life in it...

September 30, 2021 - Enjoyed this one…lots of complexity. It took forever to open up, and I should have been more patient. A little to floral for my taste but good.

February 21, 2021 - Very Good. Smooth, rich & round. Went better with lean NY Steak, than the Pirouette.

October 23, 2020 - Difficult wine to judge......needs all of 5 hours of decanting to get where it needs to be. Before that it is stewed plummy fruit on the nose. I hate stewed plummy fruit. The kind that makes you want to pour it down the drain.

At 5+ hours it is magnificent.......classic perfumed floral and lead pencil nose. This is still a very powerful wine with plenty of acidity/backbone/tannins. Dark coffee bean promiment. Who knows how long this will go? It is extremely well made with sweet dark red/black fruit of pinpoint precision. There is just a shade of imbalance here given the acidity, heat and tannins that remain. Is this begging for another 5 years and 5 hours of decanting? I'm not sure but I wouldn't put it past it........my only bottle. Cork put back in and left on the counter for tommorrow. No gas, no vacuum. We'll re-visit and see what it's like tomorrow. Will post an addendum here then.
