September 18, 2017 - I drank the first bottle of this in 2007 and thought it very good but a little overwhelming. This bottle just now was very different. Very smooth, nicely balanced and complex. If only I had more of this old Amarone I would love to see what's it's like in 5 years.

May 4, 2015 - Dense ruby. Flamboyant big, raisony character with dense mouth-filling fruit and grape extract. Currently a bit overwhelming. Will the fruit soften sufficiently to reveal underlying character? 5-7+ years will tell.... Drink sooner if you want the dense fruit character; drink later if you're curious. I'll opt for 7 years + . Seems to have the overall structure to age for some time.

September 15, 2007 - Wow, this has really gone into a shell since I last had it....before it was silky, rich and opulent. Now it's just relatively uninteresting Amarone showing classic Amarone flavors but no particular character....Hopefully it'll come around with some more years of age, but right now it's just not a special Amarone....

June 8, 2006 - Dark, dark ruby. Aromas of black pepper, earth, and mocha. Flavor of tobacco, dark fruit, and black pepper with hints of chocolate. Wonderful long finish.

June 5, 2006 - Terrific Amarone, relatively modern-styled, fantastic silky mouthfeel, plush fruit, structure to age but drinkable now.
