October 23, 2021 - 4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag (MM’s): Double blind. Aromas of iron, herbs, dark fruit and something a little bit meaty/gamey. Medium-bodied. Flavors of black raspberry, currants and herbs with good underlying acidity and a long finish. Guessed "old school" Napa cab sauv. Excellent, and I am probably underrating this a bit. Young, and should improve with age. 92+ pts. (V&M)

April 24, 2020 - Damn good...drank toward the end of the expected life and found it to be still in its prime.

February 12, 2020 - rich and smooth, with milk chocolate and dark berry notes

October 18, 2019 - Brought this to a BYOB Italian restaurant in central Massachusetts to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The nose was very muted at first, but after 20 minutes of air it started to open up - lots of bright red cherries, tar, and hints of violet. The palate is medium bodied, a little too sweet - but very flavorful. Bursting cherries towards the middle of the taste and a touch of Coca Cola. This wine is a bit confusing - it has the framework to make it much better with its flavor profile, but I feel is a bit too extracted, sort of like the new modern day Caymus, which is what this reminds of.

This is probably at its peak drinking window now, the tannins are virtually non exist at this point. It does not have the acidity to go the long haul so I suggest you drink up. Crowd favorite, poor QPR overall.

September 1, 2019 - Really well made. Needed 30 minutes to open up. Bing cherry, coffee, tobacco, and hint of graphite. Tannins mostly resolved at this point. Just as good on day-3. Drink now or hold for another 3-5 years.
