September 2, 2022 - Last of 6. Opened and cooled down to 16°C. Classic Ribera on red fruit (cherry and prune), a hint of tobacco and a touch of earthy notes, smooth tannin good freshness, full bodied and long finish. Solid and with superb price to quality level, similar to other wines of this vintage with quite high alcohol level (14.5% vol.), it is important to control the temperature. Drink within the next 3 years, it will not improve anymore.
April 1, 2021 - Last of 7 bottles. As good as my last tasting in 11/2018 - Tobacco, black cherry, iodine, saline. Similar palate (+ dark chocolate) with great sweet fruit / savory secondary notes. Full body, medium acidity, integrated tannins and long finish. 92-93 range. Has aged beautifully - nice earthy notes with fruit that is fresh and not oxidized.

September 13, 2019 - First bottle of this vintage. PnP. Cherry, plum and a hint of tobacco, warm appearance, good acidity, concentrated, long earthy finish. Ready to drink and less tart than other vintages at this stage, may peak in 2 to 4 years, as always a great bargain and superb with BBQ (89-90 points).
June 23, 2019 - Happy to be tasting this again after almost three years. If anything, it has indeed gotten better. Medium (+) ruby, with some garnet on the rim. The nose is clean, with ripe black cherry, ripe red fruit, dried herbs, tobacco, cigar box, mocha, earth and vanilla. The effect of the 18 months in American oak has subdued, The palate is dry, but with lots of sweet fruit complemented by oak spice, dark chocolate and mocha nuances. Medium acidity, medium, resolved tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). The alcohol, however, is well integrated and not noticeable. This is a nicely balanced, smooth, full-bodied wine with a long, smooth, rich, slightly bitter finish. It is probably at its peak but should continue to show well for at least a couple of years.

consistent with prior notes. I love this wine. Paired great with beef chili and is just a joy to drink if you live old school, savory wines. There is a sweet cherry / tobacco / iodine element that dominates the nose and palate. I'm out of line with CT ratings on this one but that is okay.
November 4, 2018 - Nez ouvert de cerises broyées...cèdre...boîte à tabac. En bouche, fruit mûr...corsé sec...un peu mince en milieu de bouche...et court. Peu complexe.
With air, and food, much better...not as disjointed...turning out quite nice...some cocoa notes.
