February 23, 2024 - Good and was probably great two or three years ago. Good nose and body- tasted of dried fruits.

July 8, 2022 - I think this has some time left to go in the bottle. While quite delicious, the alcohol is still pretty prominent, as are the tannins. I think this might go another couple of years in the cellar.

April 22, 2021 - This is drinking very well. Corners have rounded out, nice nose, some spice on the finish. This should keep for a long time.

August 19, 2020 - This is in a perfect window now. Decently big wine but incredibly balanced. Still needs some air to show it’s true character.

Darker fruit, cola, vanilla on the nose. Black raspberry, stone fruit, still plenty of balanced acid and tannin. Long, tart finish.

    Wish I had another one...

August 15, 2020 - This wine is idiosyncratic and very much a wine of place. It is great, not in a knock-your-socks-off way, but in that -- like many of the Bedrock heritage wines -- it feels like it has _identity_ -- drinking it feels like a personal experience somehow.

July 24, 2020 - Drank (outside) at a party, along with 2013 Papera Zins from Carlisle and Novy. Bedrock finished third, but by a very small margin. The Carlisle was more elegant, and the Novy was more vibrant. The Bedrock was somewhat rustic by comparison, lending creedence to my opinion that Bedrock Zins need more time than Carlisle Zins to really strut their stuff.

April 25, 2020 - No notes taken but drinking beautifully with expressive aromatics and fruit acid and tannins in great harmony. More expressive than the bedrock heritage of the same year

April 17, 2020 - Just wonderful, dark purple, big wine, powerful, yet balanced, elegant, wonderful aromatics of dark red fruit, spice, moderate tannins, long finish

April 13, 2020 - Still super tight and unforgiving day 1, but much more open and and enjoyable day 2. By then the Bedrock perfume finally starts to pop, and the palate is full of and cranberries and tart cherries. As with most of Morgan's 2013's they have the stuffing to be great but just need a little more time or a lengthy decant.
