September 16, 2018 - Drank at Blanco WH dinner. Golden yellow color. Somewhat reticent nose of citrus, honey and some floral notes. Somewhat full-bodied and on the unctuous side. Good acidity, some fruit (citrus) and a definite nuttiness. Much more energetic than I expected, and overall a very lovely wine still drinking well (some thought it lacked sufficient fruit). I like this wine (also, I wasn't aware it was primarily SB grape).

June 5, 2017 - After half an hour of air, this turned out to be a jewel. This was ripe, but still so energetic. The 2010 next to it was still a baby and was judged number 2 at our table, behind the 1998. This was a very well stored bottle. Unfortunately the last one out of my cellar. It exceeded my expectations. Wow.

May 25, 2016 - Drank for National Wine Day, with a homemade asparagus and Gruyere tart. Not sure what to expect since I have never had this kind of wine before. Like it, don't love it. Fruit has fallen off, but it doesn't taste old.

January 22, 2016 - Drinking beautifully right now. Almost 18 years! Sauvignon blanc dominating, helped by semillon for structure. Beautiful light yellow color (not dark golden), which shows it's still good, in its best way: equilibrated acidity, nice color, structured, wood/oak integrated and lots of aromas. Grass, white spices, white flowers, honey... you can choose! Now I can see why most people say that SHL blanc is the best white wine from Bordeaux. Opened this bottle for my 32 y.o. birthday. Drank it with my girlfriend with cod and pasta. Great wine! Will definitely look for another bottle. Cheers from Brazil!
