September 28, 2014 - This is one of the last bottles from a birth year case bought by my parents almost 30 years ago. Drank it with my parents and two long time friends (also from '83). Expected a far deceased wine but this thing was still alive! Fill was perfect, into neck and the colour was still medium dark and far from the brick state. Nose was old skool: cedar wood, berries and some tobacco. Fresh taste with nice level of acidity, some red fruit and very soft but present tannines. very subtle, elegant and completely uncomparable with now a days brdx. Had it with lam filet completed with fig jus.

Wonderfull experience and setting to drink this wine. Bam, 90 points!

August 27, 2012 - An interesting wine if not a spectacular one. An ancient nose of leather and dung, and a rather acidic but quite pleasant taste. Finish medium. One dimensional and outclassed on this occasion by the 1966 giscours, though all at the table liked both.

I got this bottle for free, and it was filled into the neck, but the provenance was a bit suspect, so it may not have been at its best. Great for the money though :)

March 8, 2010 - Gav veldig lite på nesen etter åpning. Åpnet seg litt, men ble aldri noen typisk margaux. Lite frukt, litt kort. Godt, men aldri engasjerende. Greitt nok.

December 12, 2009 - 0.375 L bottle, mid Dec 2009: upon opening the cork contained a surprise: branded year is 1986; strawberries and weak truffles; sometimes a rotten-like aroma/flavor was detected; light /medium body; quite long finish, however with a strong bitterness.

Is 1983 (label) or 1986 (branded cork) the correct vintage? Does anybody has an explanation/idea about this phenomenon?
