  December 17, 2023 - Petit & Bajan have been one of those “growers” to watch for a few years now. A literal marriage of Chardonnay (Richard Petit) and Pinot Noir (Véronique Bajan) with some mentoring from the one and only Ansleme Selosse makes for a pretty compelling story. As it turns out, the wines are pretty darned good! Popped and poured. The “Nuit Blanche” is a BdB showcase of Petit’s family holdings in Avize with some fruits coming from Cramant and Oger as well. The wine pours a light straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, mix of lemon curd, white peach, limes, pear, almonds and brioche with chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with really good acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long with distinctive chalky minerals. This was very nice and I look foreword to tracking their wines. Bottled on July 2, 2015. Disgorged November 2021.

  August 21, 2022 - The 100% Chardonnay Champagne is spontaneously fermented, battonage, did not undergo BSA, and is not filtered. Much less and much more, you almost can not do. This is a pure, terroir-emphasized Blanc de Blancs that will be fun to drink from aperitifs, through dinner, and into the late night. On the nose, Petit & Bajan Nuit Blanche smells fresh of white peaches and Williams pears. The attack is creamy and soft, the sweet, ripe fruit immediately fills the palate, intense but fine bubbles, then the acidity grabs hold, giving the wine a lot of race and turning the initially hedonistic and lush drop into a punchy and at the same time elegant wine with good character.

  March 12, 2022 - Followed over 2.5 hours.
  
  Nose not very expressive, but I really enjoyed this.
  
  Fine bubbles that quickly disappear on the tongue. Core of green apple and pear notes throughout with white florals, and refreshing acidity -citrus and peppery bite on the finish. The bread/yeast notes are there, especially on the nose, but I didn’t find them overpowering.

  January 18, 2022 - Petit & Bajan Nuit Blanche Blanc de Blancs Champagner ist spontan vergoren, Battonage, keine BSA und nicht filtriert. Viel weniger und viel mehr, kann man fast gar nicht machen. Das ist ein purer, Terroir betonter Blanc de Blancs, der vom Aperitiv, übers Essen bis hin in die späte Nacht viel Spass bereiten wird.
  
  In der Nase duftet der Petit & Bajan Nuit Blanche frisch nach weissem Pfirsichen und Williamsbirnen. Der Auftakt ist cremig und weich, die süsse, reife Frucht füllt sofort den Gaumen, intensive, jedoch feine Perlage, dann packt die Säure zu, verleiht dem Wein viel Rasse und macht aus dem anfangs hedonistisch-üppigen Tropfen einen druckvollen und gleichzeitig eleganten Wein mit gutem Charakter.
