Color: light/medium ruby core -> garnet rim. Bouquet of cherries, beetroot, earth and minerals. Lovely balance of iron and fruit on the palate with a little earth, great acidity still and a touch of tannins. Delicious fruit but you can definitely see it starting to pull back and fade just a bit. Very nice but time to drink or risk missing the tailing edge of the plateau. -

August 19, 2012 - Color: Medium ruby -> light ruby/garnet rim. Bouquet of cherries, beetroot, earth, minerals; just lovely. On the palate quite lively; wonderful acidity, great balance of fruit with a little earth and the structure for more time. Delicious fruit and nice length kept me coming back for more. A very nice Burg drinking at peak.

April 24, 2011 - Wonderful... Enjoyed half an hour after opening (from bottle, not decanted), with a meal of grilled marinated kebab (chicken w/Dijon/thyme/garlic/wine, and beef w/rosemary/wine/garlic/EEOV) and potatoes cut & seasoned w/rosemary, garlic and EEOV, and green beans steamed... The wine really worked well with the food, in a soft yet complex way, fully balanced & satisfying.... One bottle of this left, looking forward to it in the next few years...
