-semi-translucent med red violet mild clearing
-bright red fruit with some herbal pepper
-med+ acidity, med- weight sappy tart fading black cherry essence herbal, finishes faintly herbal medicinal with med- tannins

June 27, 2020 - Opening up nicely. Still primary and won't open the others for several years.
March 18, 2018 - Very high acidity. Lacking tannic structure and acidity not well integrated.
Will try again in many, many years. Not earlier.
November 18, 2017 - Nice wine. lean. tannic . light fruit. strawberry. pepper. Last bottle ws better. Would not buy again at this price
April 9, 2017 - Very pure, airy aromas of strawberry, almond-paste, violet, mineral, briary scents and white pepper come about. Not showing too much texture today but the aromas become very perfumed with air time and show great definition. Very poised and harmonious today from a structural stand point. Lovely material.
October 28, 2016 - Tour du Monde (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Red cherry as well with spice notes throughout. Moderate weight, very elegantly textured and well balanced now. Should drink very well young, 2018 forward.
February 17, 2016 - So young right now but it is bursting with potential. Lovely and fresh red fruit on the palate. So elegant. Will be a gem in 10
January 8, 2016 - 2013 Lafarge Reds and Antoine Jobard Whites (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Light red. Delicate red fruit aromas. Light bodied with some flesh-typical Volnay weight. Fairly accessible, not terribly acidic. Good.
