March 5, 2015 - nice Riesling, not too sweet, not very acidic

paired well with spicy asian food

July 4, 2013 - Cellared this bottle just to see if the Eroica would last in the cellar. Well good news for those who find a bottle that was overlooked. The wine was still fresh and bright and delicious. can't really say it improved but it did not deteriorate either.

April 30, 2013 - We drink quite a bit of Eroica since it seems to be good year in and year out, is readily available, and fairly priced. Although we normally drink this young, 2005 was a particularly good year so I held some back as an experiment to see how the wine would fare in the cellar. Last night we drank our next to last bottle with Halibut Olympia and I must say the bottle was still going strong. Possibly a little bit more honey than earlier bottles but still a fine bottle. I plan to hold the final bottle until 2015.

I guess the moral of the story is that if you discover an older bottle of Eroica in the cellar you might be pleasantly surprised.
