March 10, 2023 - This was a stand out bottle, first of 3. Tannins were fine yet firm. Lots of fruit plus some good secondary development. Acid was in perfect balance. Amazing QPR but we have also sat on it for 8 years so I’m sure it would be more $$ these days.

December 23, 2022 - First of 1/2 a case, and decanted for 3 hours. The high 15% ABV comes through some, but there is pretty good balance generally. Hopefully, a few more years will even this wine out a little more. Otherwise, it's a solid wine all the way through, with some nice mature red fruits, balsamic, and herbal aspects.

December 3, 2021 - Unlike the outstanding 2004 Pio Cesare Barolo enjoyed earlier in the evening, this definitely shows a clear youthful garnet hue, along with a faceful of tannin and acid; tart raspberry, crushed cherry, ripe strawberry, dried cedar mulch; along with a herbal and meaty component. IMHO I’d wait a couple more years on this….huge potential, but seems young in the decanter. Huge finish. Needs a long decant along with big, hearty food. Drink through 2030+

December 10, 2020 - Second bottle out of six purchased. Consumed over three hours. This stands tall at 10 years. There's an excellent richness and complexity. It'll soften and transform with more time, and there's certainly the stuffing to do so, but I really like its current more juvenile state. A high quality wine enjoyable today and in the future.

September 26, 2020 - Decanted about two hours prior to service, enjoyed over a two hour period. Very exuberant aromatic profile, seamless on palate. Fruit, acid and tannins were very well integrated. Tannins were fine and balanced fruit profile on palate. Very nice. One bottle left from shipment and we are going to give it some time.
