October 19, 2022 - OK, but underwhelming given age and pedigree. Probably at or close to prime time. Still has lots of life.

September 4, 2021 - Colour pale with some browning. Glorious nose. Lacy fragrant soaring nose. Hint of sous Bois . Very Chambolle. Crunchy mature fruit on palate . Very elegant. A delight.

February 10, 2019 - A couple of years ago I wrote a private note on this wine: "subdued, seems mature". I remember it not showing well.

This bottle was much more vibrant and alive, with lovely fruit on the nose and palate and a nice structure. Classic Mugnier at age 20.

April 9, 2016 - Light flavors of earth and floral, nice tension with a sweet edge. Good, but time to drink. Shows as a well made village wine true to terroir.

December 27, 2015 - Holiday Champagne Dinner (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): Red cherry and berry flavors and aromas with very good balance and elegance. Moderate weight. Very good for now, and this should drink well for another decade.

October 20, 2013 - Good as it every was. Tasty village Chambolle, fruity nose, well balanced between fruit and acid, some secondary flavors. Silky, silky. Went great with the black cod.
