May 12, 2023 - Cork was a little soft, yellow and gold, apple and toast on the nose, starting to loose some of the bright fruit, still very good

August 20, 2022 - I’ve been trying to find California Chardonnay that suits my tastes like white burg and Aubert seemed like a good starting point. Immediately after opening, it filled the room with aromas of yellow apples, wet rocks, and sweet oak. I was very relieved that this wasn’t another oak bomb American Chardonnay, that this had nuance and complexity.

My only complaint is the relative lack of acid. The sugar/oak/lactic acid caused it to feel a tad cloying, but it’s not horrible and this is a 9 year old bottle.

This is good Chardonnay just not $150 good. I’d much rather grab a 1er Chassagne honestly, but I’m glad I tried it.

February 21, 2022 - Beautiful, crisper and cleaner than most single vineyard chards from Aubert.

July 18, 2021 - Rich, great blend of lemon, citrus, but the smoothness of an Aubert. Drinking nicely 8 years in.

July 15, 2021 - Light yellow in color. Palate is very fresh. Flavors of tart citrus and some apple. Very floral. Noticeably much younger looking and tasting than the 2014 Aubert Larry Hyde tasted side-by-side.

April 2, 2021 - PnP but expect to follow for a couple of days and that this will improve on day 2 or 3. Medium light gold; creamy citrus lemon and lime along with some spring flower scents on the nose. Lovely orchard fruits on the palate rather than citrus or tropical with good weight but not too rich. Walks a nice line with good acidity but not over the top in phenolic intensity. For the low yield relatively high alcohol Chards from Northern California I find the Carneros top vineyards are highly competitive and ageworthy. Lovely wine.

February 28, 2021 - Decanted properly for 3 hours. It was great! A little more fruit than most Aubert’s but great balance and acid. Paired great with a Friday fish fry.

February 13, 2021 - Drinking great. Lemon, green apple, a hint of tropical fruit, great zip/acidity, and the right amount of oak.
