March 24, 2021 - Berry nose, deep, deep, dark blackberry and cocoa, silky tannins, you really don’t want to swallow. Medium long finish. Medium acid.

May 3, 2019 - Just incredible! Nose has dark fruit, licorice, leather and smoked meat. Big and bold body with blackberries, blue raspberry, tar and ash. Huge mouthfeel and the finish never seems to end. I would have figured it’d be a little softer that it is, given my notes from 4 and then 2 years ago, but there’s still some great structure to it. Good acidity and medium, yet well integrated tannin. Easily has many more years ahead! 1 bottle left that I’ll keep for at least another 3 years and maybe drink on its 10th birthday.

November 16, 2017 - A fair amount of funk going on after pulling the cork. Needed about 2 hours for the wine to settle down. Smokey nose with dark berries on the palate. Give this year 2-3 hour decant and it begins to sing.

August 7, 2017 - Finally opened up my only bottle of the '12. Decanted for about 1.5 hours and drank over 2 nights/meals. Very impressed - I found this on sale for about $50 which I thought was good QPR... however, it appears the '14 is now about $80 around me... which may be a bit too much to buy again. Wish I had stocked up on the '12. If you got them, I'd drink them soon because it's good juice.
