September 17, 2022 - Medium clear red. Inviting! Less aromatic on the nose than the last bottle, plenty of swishing brought it more to life but it did not have the purity and sweetness I was hoping for this evening - a bit of a failure on that front. On the palate quite scrumptios however, with good helpings of raspberry and cranberry, and that sous-bois element we all crave. A medium length finish only, the wine left me quite soon, so whilst very sippable I cannot really say that this bottle was singing as it was just slightly under [my expected] par in a number of areas. I think if I had bought it off the shelf, or with a restaurant mark-up I would have been disappointed. As it is, it is just Red Burgundy being a little fickle and you unfortunately just have to accept that when you drink it regularly.

June 4, 2022 - This was a disappointment after the previous bottles. I found this rather tart and unbalanced, with sour fruit rather than the sweeter red fruit I'd had before. I did wonder if it was the fact we drank it towards the end of the meal, after desert, but it was not better on the second day. Nothing obviously faulty with the wine, perhaps going through a less good phase.

April 8, 2022 - Terrific nose of red fruit and currant. However it’s a bit thin in the palate. Not unexpected for a village.

Very nice overall but not sure about the QPR.

April 5, 2022 - Fully ready to go with pleasant Vosne cherry, black tea and spice in a mid weight and translucent frame.

April 2, 2022 - Still primary...nice light to medium body cherry and acid with good balance.
