October 24, 2023 - Nice citrus- lime, slight apple, salinity, floral, reserved sweetness, stone, slight herb, good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable

December 2, 2020 - Not a detailed note, but this was a lovely wine, with a rich aroma, golden fruit on the palate with fine acid tension.

September 17, 2017 - Some residual sugar but great balance and it doesn't come across as sweet. Potent nose of lychees, lime. Delicious to drink on its own. Did not complement thai yellow curry as well as I expected...acidity seemed to clash with the food somehow. Would buy this again.

October 26, 2015 - There are moments where this is beautiful -- ripe green apple/honeydew fruit, lots of mint and pine and herbs, flowers and rainwater and river and meadow and rocks, with a lithe elegance that belies its intensity, a wine that's totally alive. But it comes and goes, and the rest of the time it seems a little flat and muted. There's potential here, certainly.

January 11, 2015 - Day 1 in the Mosel - Peter Lauer & Hofgut Falkenstein (Mosel Saar Ruwer - Germany): From barrel. This a very stony parcel, with poor soils. The vines strain from the low nutrients and their hard work shows in the wine. 40 grams of residual sugar, with a whole heck of a lot of balance. Great intensity, with a bit more tropical fruits this time; mostly pineapple and tangerines. Very impressive wine.
