September 23, 2023 - Opened three hours prior to dinner. The nose is dark red fruit. The palate is dark plums, cherry, hints of spice and leather. A moderately long smooth finish makes this a most enjoyable bottle of wine

July 22, 2023 - Opened two hours prior to dinner and let slow ox. Put the cork back in and took to our local Italian BYOB (Viaggio) where they decanted it for us. The nose is dark red fruit. The palate is dark plums, cherry, hints of spice and leather. A moderately long smooth finish makes this a most enjoyable bottle of wine.

July 2, 2023 - Corked. Too bad as others made me interested in this bottle. Oh well, we move on.

First time trying this Brunello producer.
Really savoury nose - distinct black truffle, tomato and balsamic - not much fruit and the truffle element is particularly strong.
On the plate some fruit emerges with quite intense dark cherry and some red twizzler licorice. Good acidity and tannins are integrating but have some way to go.
I thought this was pretty interesting and had great length and intensity. Just starting to open.
