September 23, 2018 - Exceptional. Bright fruit, aged incredibly nicely. Have one more bottle that I kinda want to hot for a year or two more.

May 27, 2016 - Third red from Black Ankle and first Syrah. Bright ruby red. Love the nose, slight iron and savory notes. Slightly stinky and almost a note of compost. Palate had some slight greenery and savory notes. Undertones of red fruits too. Moderate tannins (7/10) with some nice acidity. Moderate body and long, lingering finish. Will gain some nice complexity with time. Drink till 2025.

January 18, 2015 - Initial tasting for this vintage today at Black Ankle. Delicious now. One of their best.
