    December 4, 2021 - Generous sample from J. Drank in Grassl 1855.
    Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
    Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of cassis, cocoa powder chocolate, blackberries, dark red cherries, red plums, dark currants, menthol, bit of ripe bell pepper. Developing.
    On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, velvety high tannins with good persistent grip, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of menthol, ripe bell pepper, spice, dark earth, blackberries, dark currants, red plums, dark red cherries, cassis, cocoa powder chocolate, cigar/tobacco/pencil lead. Very long gentle pleasing finish.
    Excellent quality. Complex and like a First or Second Growth Bordeaux in a nicely ripe year. Much more claret style than Ornellaia or any other SuperTuscan Bordeaux blend. Nice already with a good amount of air, or keep this more years.

    November 27, 2021 - Deep purple in colour. Pronounced nose intensity with cassis, black berry, pencil, vanilla. Medium+ acidity and high tannin. Tannin is velvety. Have to decant to get the tannin round.

    October 9, 2021 - Still needs time. Blackish crimson red color. Decanted and aerated for a little then drank over an hour. Nose dominated by perfumed black fruits, some earth and spice. On the palate a little tight given its youth, lots of fruit and spice, medium to full bodied, finishes decently long with good acidity, present tannins and a milk chocolate note. Needs a few more years of patience.
