June 23, 2019 - May have left this a year too long, seems to be slightly on the downslope, but absolutely wonderful, aged, nuanced wine - medium to medium deep mahogany colour is slightly alarming, but nose is beautiful, an aged gem, with just a hint of stewed or tired fruit at the end - dried fruit and spice, with tons of tertiaries like leather, plum skins, chamomile, a bit of rootsy-ness - palate is balanced, still has a gentle grip- nuanced. Delicious with our rack of lamb w pesto and prosciutto - Yum!

April 6, 2019 - Still going great guns. A lovely aged drink with plenty of depth and character.

August 22, 2018 - Secondary fruit, minty cream chocolate wood, wood polish, leather, cigar box, tobacco, cassis, red brown in colour, good body, nice length, delicious. Drink now as it is past its peak but it is still delicious.

May 22, 2018 - Drank 3 bottles over the last 6 months. Lovely dark red colour. Subdued nose. Good balance on the palate, not amazing but given the wine, the age and the price, this is a great drink. Need to consume the other bottles within the next 6 months.

March 21, 2018 - Bought at auction but clearly well stored both in appearance of the bottle, ullage (zero), condition of cork and tasting.
For the price you pay for these on release they are remarkable value in my opinion.
Not overly complex but nothing out of place or letting it down.
The bright dark berry fruit is still there and intergrated really nicely with the now subtle oak. Dusty fine tannins and a mouthfilling silkiness enhances the ripe fruit.
Concentrated English breakfast tea, cassis, cinnamon on toast and a bit tobacco (unburnt!)
I think it is easy to be a little too critical of this wine given its release price and the fact it is often competing with wines double, triple or more the price.
At 15yrs under cork this is showing very well.
