October 6, 2023 - Looking at recent reviews...I didn't get any funk/garigue, and got no heat. What I got was a lovely wine, with depth, that was a dead ringer for a SC pinot...in fact, it was tasted alongside, and did very well. No tart grenache fruit, lovely mouthfeel and finish, light color. Crowd pleaser.

March 4, 2023 - I am reminded of the ’19, which I do prefer, but it is head and shoulders above what I recall upon release. There’s so much garrigue, which I did not notice back in late ’15. I also get mahogany, dried raspberries, aged teak, cloves and anise. Lithe, yet the core is very concentrated. Of its own ilk, I find this Grenache to be androgynous. Silky tannins, and a youthfulness that is quite surprising, yet paradoxically this has definitely evolved. This can be studied for many years to come. I love the presence and verve, and dimension. Very Pinot-like. I was too conservative with my initial experience. Drink now – 2030.

February 6, 2023 - With Burgers and Onion Rings
Same as previous note but a bit more closed/restrained.
Alcohol showing. Palate is better than nose tonight.
2 hours in I am picking up a roasted coffee note.

January 28, 2023 - Pnp because supposedly at the end of its drinking window but should have decanted. Initially somewhat harsh and disjointed. Really came into its own after a few hours. Soft and juicy with red fruit, plums, a hint of vanilla and a very appealing creaminess.

    January 14, 2023 - With Mixed Nuts>Terriyaki Chicken….
    Nice fairly restrained
Dark plums, light earth, slight funk, pine cone.
    Floral on the nose
