October 10, 2016 - Spicy smoke of a flavorful bbq outdoors with tangy raspberry still on the vine is the nose. Sweet chocolate covered strawberry and vanilla with salty bacon and vinegar come forward to add balance and the taste of dill pickle lingers for a moment as this wine leaves the palate. An Incredibly enjoyable and drinkable wine with a price tag to boot.
August 31, 2016 - I was pleasantly surprised by this wine, I expected a overripe, over oaked, alcoholic, very sweet fruit bomb and what was in my glass was a bit more subtle than that. The oak was spicy but within context and you could still taste Zinfandel under it. The alcohol was not apparent and yes it was a slightly sweet Zinfandel fruit bomb, but was just understated enough to work nicely with rustic food. As to aging, it is ready now and further aging will not make it more charming, but the window should be a year or so wide.

January 23, 2016 - I feel like I must be drinking a different wine than the reviewers of Moss Roxx 2012 ancient vine zin. Light with notes of smoke and strawberry. It's a nice wine but if you are looking for the typical fruit bomb full zin, you won't find it here.

December 24, 2015 - A nose of black cherry and spices, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Zin, with black cherry, cassis, plum, chocolate and spice on long finish, a really big wine. www.winelx.com

May 25, 2015 - Dark and very dense appearance. On the nose, some jam and some petrol. On the palate, very jammy and fruity, but also again some petrol. Also heat (14.5%). Long aftertaste, not entirely pleasant. $20.
