August 7, 2017 - Tasted blind. Dark ruby color turning orange crimson at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose is soft, elegant and floral - giving off hints of meat and black fruits. The palate displays a full body with a creamy texture and vibrant acidity yet cunningly subdued as this is a Merlot-based wine. Flavors of black peppercorns, cardamom, and chocolate arise from the black currants that lend to a lengthy finish. Drink now until 2022.
