March 18, 2022 - Held on to my last bottle for years past expected sell-by date and I feel rewarded. Still a big, fruity wine, but the oak has finally integrated. Vanilla and licorice dancing in and out on a nose of dark fruit. Lush, spicy blackberry on the palate. Finish was short, with slightest bit of heat, but overall, enjoyable enough that I picked up another half-dozen bottles of other vintages from this winery to drink in 5-10 years.
August 7, 2017 - Muito potencial, mas precisa evoluir mais tempo na garrafa. Um pouco duro Ainda, taninos presentes. Boa fruta.
June 11, 2017 - Full and concentrated, filled with sweet cherry, vanilla, peaches and licorice. Big malbec like finish, full of heat, of intense caramel and tobacco. Slightly unbalanced and lacking dryness. Savory, involving, winter style wine. 90
March 14, 2017 - Medium purple in the glass, almost transparent. Dark fruit on the nose with a touch of oak and licorice. Blackberry, pepper, and oak on the palate with some forest floor. Nice acidity and mild tannins. Opened quite a bit after an hour, so you might decant this one. A pleasant daily drinker for $10 but nothing special or memorable.
March 3, 2017 - think of it as a Pinot noir. Not sure will improve with time. Decant
February 15, 2017 - Loved this wine. A big luscious red with some nice oak. Paired perfectly with a steak. Tastes like a much more expensive wine. Will be purchasing more.
