October 25, 2023 - A little sweeter than I prefer, but oh the depth of aromas and flavors! More time in the bottle definitely gave this more weight in terms of mouthfeel and finish. Drink in one sitting with family or friends; definitely fared less well on DAy2.

August 5, 2023 - Slo-oxed for 15 minutes. Red fruits and some earth on the nose. Black cherry, raspberry and cranberry dominate the medium bodied palate, along with spice, some earth and touches of minerality. The acidity was balancing, and any tannins were completely integrated. Could hold but enjoyable now.

May 13, 2023 - Family Blind Pinot Noir Tasting (The homestead): From a family blind tasting, Pinot from anywhere - guess origin, vintage, price.

    Wine #3 of 8.

Riper and sweeter fruit than the first two wines and clearly high-quality California. Seemed integrated and lacked fresh vibrancy, so figured a little bit of age as well. I was thinking RRV, probably single vineyard. The warm 2015 vintage seemed about right. Knowing who had brought this, I figured $100.
Not a bad guess it turned out.
This was consensus favorite of the tasting, though one person found it to be too ripe for her tastes.

December 7, 2021 - This is great! Thought it might be tired at 8 years old, but it has wa way to go. Great acidity, cherry, strawberry, raspberry. Delicious!

March 20, 2021 - Forward nose of brambly cherry, hints of forest floor, brisk acidity, long finish ageing gracefully.

December 12, 2020 - Very nice. Out of the gate lots of black cherry and raspberry jam balanced by super bright acidity. After 30+ mins the fruit fades and sour cherry, rhubarb and black tea predominates with the acid still singing. Like this very much but I think it would have been even better a year or two ago. Drink up.
