May 23, 2021 - What a nice surprise in the back corner of cellar. Very integrated and elegant Cabernet. Long perfect cork. Small amount of ripe tannins carries the fruit through the finish. Relax, enjoy and drink-up

May 7, 2014 - Initially tight with pungent prunes. After one hour, slightly tighter. After two hours, softened a bit - prunes waned, and notes of blackberry and cherries. Regrettably, this bottle never showed too well. Certainly not past it's prime.

November 16, 2013 - Super rich fruit these 11 years later, lots of notable stony earth on the nose. Lush red and blue fruit on the palate, red currant and ripe black cherry. Hints of stone but the fruit is mostly what is forward. Utterly outstanding. Best I've had since the Rusden on New Years.

November 8, 2013 - HERBACIOUS NOSE WITH LICORICE AND BLACKBERRIES. BLACKBERRIES AND BLACK CHERRIES IN THE FLAVOR. NICE LEGS AND A MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

November 5, 2013 - Plenty of life left. Still a beautiful wine that has aged well and should continue to drink well over next couple of years

November 2, 2013 - It's been almost a decade since we toured & tasted with David Long, owner of DA, and it still stands out as one of our most enjoyable wine experiences ever. The property is perched high above the valley with stunning views and David Long couldn't be more entertaining. I'm happy to report that my last btl of his reg '02 Cab was teriffic and probably worth the $85 I paid direct from the winery. The then winemaker has been replaced a couple times since I believe so the style may have evolved? I really like the wines but dropped off the list because of a then hostage policy - you must buy 2 of these to get 1 of those. They may have changed that? Anyway, this was singing tonight with good palate verb and silky tanins. Really tasty dark chocolate, raspberries, mineral, creosote and tobacco flavors along with a very long finish. I double decanted it just to get rid of some sediment high in the neck but it was very open and fragrant. We could have used a 850ML tonight :) I'd drink these up over the next few years.
