December 1, 2019 - deep color, as good as it was a little more was expected from Bacigalupi
November 18, 2018 - Big and bold. Lots of cherry and berry flavor. A great finish that lingers for a long time.
November 12, 2017 - Bold for a Pinot, as would be expected of Venge. Great balance of cherry and plum with festive notes
August 5, 2017 - Extremely smooth Pinot noir. Enjoyed this bottle, a gift from Ken and Susan, to celebrate moving Caitlin into her new apartment. Some chalk, dark cherry. Silky tannins. Definitely would buy this one again.
June 30, 2017 - Not as fruit forward as I remembered. Opened up over a couple hours. A bit of vanilla and some cola.
April 19, 2017 - Felt like this bottle was in its down phase, where the flavors were more muted than in the 2012. Still, nice flavors of cherry, vanilla, cherry cola, rose water with a short finish.
April 17, 2017 - More "jammy" and less acidic than most pinots. A pinot for Napa Cab lovers? Delicious berry flavors, very smooth mouth feel. I decanted for about 1 hour and served with grilled lamb--guests loved it.
April 16, 2016 - Outstanding. Probably 93-94 points. Glad I have another for more thorough evaluation.
March 16, 2015 - Cranberry in color. Fruity nose. Plush fruit taste. Round taste not flat. Nice big flavor for a lighter wine. Tart in front of mouth but with balanced finish and doesn't hang around too long. The 2012 vintage was real good. This may be better. Nice night cap.
