  January 28, 2017 - December '16 - January '17 Events: This is one of my favorite Valpolicellas and I try to pick it up across vintages – fresh and easy to drink, with tasty flavors of plum and dried fruits accented by interesting tapenade notes. But I’ve found other vintages to be a bit more forward – maybe give this another year or two for it to shine.

  October 13, 2015 - Excellent example of Valpolicella Classico Superiore produced without resorting to the “ripasso” technique..To the nose it is an explosion of small berries with a hint of cherries.
  The mouth confirms those Impressions also revealing a full body.
  The 18 months spent aging in oak barrels give it a round and smooth palate.
  Good persistence and pleasant finish.
  To pair with first courses, risotto, light red meat or medium seasoned cheese.

  April 28, 2015 - This had more body than V's I've had in the past. The nose was vegetal but also smelled of a wheat field. The palate had an undertone of beef broth, less fruit than expected. The finish was somewhat vegetal and herbaceous. Very enjoyable. Looking forward to the Ripasso and Amarone I bought from the same producer.
