September 22, 2023 - Mature. Similar to my experience in August 2021, lots of tomato leaf and fading red fruits. Generally disappointing at only 10 years. Drink now.
August 3, 2023 - Drinking well(dw). Good structure with sweet fruit .
September 30, 2022 - Outstanding! Wish I had more
August 28, 2021 - Enjoyed over two consecutive days, vacuumed sealed in between. Seems to be in the later stages of development and entering into maturity: medium plus aromas and flavors of tomato leaf, burned caramel, juicy black and red licorice, crushed black and red berries, smoked meat, garrigue, and dirty black rocks. Still shows some grainy tannin with an acidic backbone lingering throughout. The small percentage of Syrah is really showing through in terms of structure. Finishes very long, always a consistent style.
March 13, 2021 - Drinking well. Blue and red fruits. Garrigue. Medium-to-full bodied (closer to full). Alcohol in check. I cannot imagine that anyone who likes southern Rhone wines would not enjoy this.
October 3, 2020 - 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault in 2013, a year where Grenache struggled and mercifully alcohol levels were down a notch. This is 14% and all the better for it. Indeed this is attractive, successful and while already drinking well will certainly last.
August 8, 2020 - Not my favorite CdP
June 12, 2020 - Closed at the time. Should be nice in a couple of years.
May 17, 2020 - good wine, young, better 2nd day
October 9, 2019 - Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% each of Syrah and Mourvedre, the grapes from old vines. Dark blackberry colour with dark fruits, cassis, herbs and liquorice on the nose. These aromas were repeated on the palate - it was a complex and elegant, medium to full bodied wine that will keep 10-15 years. Excellent.
