July 17, 2017 - A bit of funk upon opening, but after an hour, its subtle complexity shown through. Pleasantly surprised!

December 27, 2013 - Pleasantly surprised to see that this is still drinking beautifully. Bright flavors -- still many years left it would seem (though I finished my last two bottles this night).

July 23, 2013 - Really drinking well right now. Not decanted, no formal notes taken. Very youthful nose bursts with red and black fruits, but quite fresh at the same time. The palate still has some elegant tannin present, but the flavors of spicy plum, black cherry and a light coffee note all balance it out beautifully. This gives me hope for the age-ability of other Mark Ryans. Very good.
