June 13, 2022 - Caught it before it went down the slope, perfect with a steak. still heavy and complex but so supple for its weight. nice evening

November 17, 2021 - I am busy drinking this one up while it is so nice, it is too complex for just pasta, its needs something like sausage and hearty broth. One more bottle remaining. Maybe a lamb daube next.

Color is strong, balance lovely and just the edge of tannin to give substance. Long rich finish.

November 10, 2021 - Did’t write my notes the first night. This a big solid wine that I thought might be a bit more expressive the second night. Right and wrong. The second night with some leftover bean casserole and a NY Steak it is a solid massive developed wine that has achieved the point of tannin resolution and works so well against the steak. Plenty of acid but no real nose beyond what we used to call vineous. Good wine good dinner. Time to be consumed.

July 22, 2019 - Young and fresh tasting. Cherry? Bright.

July 9, 2017 - Had to restrain myself to half a bottle, easily could have done it all. At its peak complex and rich.
