November 1, 2021 - Nose is cocoa and dark berry, palate is dry medium long finish, cherry, cassis, herb, chalk, cocoa nib. In a really good spot, will last, but not likely to improve much, imo.
August 18, 2020 - Probably a little past its prime. Flat and unremarkable.
June 26, 2018 - Excellent Cab Franc that has the stuffing to hold up to any dish. Good spice and dark fruit that held up throughout the bottle.
September 10, 2016 - Nothing special. Blackberry, tea,short finish.
July 9, 2016 - Huge black raspberry and dark chocolate nose. Very fruit forward palate consisting of black raspberry, blackberries, black tea, and a slight hint of cedar. Nicely balanced with a long finish. Decanted for a half hour before pouring. Still a little tight when first poured but opened up nicely with a little additional time in the glass.
March 1, 2016 - Big heavily extracted CF. Comes across more like a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with structure and loads of berry graphite....and tannins. This over powers most meals (especially mine), but should pair nicely with steak or grilled lamb. It's a tasty glass but quickly becomes monolithic and at 14.9% alcohol I am glad I don't need to drive anywhere tonight.
