October 18, 2019 - Very "natural" in flavor and style (spritzig, animalic, slightly dirty) which I can't recall from earlier bottles, but still delicious, floral and ripe.

September 27, 2019 - Last tasted 04/03/2018 (see notes below). Served at 15 degrees. Perfect cork, perfect provenance.

Everything as described on 04/03/18. Simply delicious. Wonderful.

Remains a really fantastic wine. It is now, I believe, at its peak. I really can't see how this will improve. Will drink last two bottles before moving on to my 2015 which, is very different in terms of mouthfeel, fruit, and weight.

Delicious in every way. Bravo Jean Foillard. I really respect your wine making and love your wines.

September 25, 2019 - I was in the mood for a cru Beaujolais, so I was lucky enough to have the Foillard in the cellar. Opened with some Brett funk, but it blew off with time, to be replaced with a floral, cherry, and slightly spicy nose. The palate burst with red fruits, cherry, cranberry, and a faint anise note The finish had touches of earth and a refreshing acidity. No reason not to enjoy now

September 20, 2019 - Awesome wine, maybe at peak (for me). Bright red fruits. Black cherry and cassis. Right palate, though the acidity has softened and is accessible. Hints of spice and pepper. Lengthy chalky finish.
