February 8, 2017 - Tasted blind. Clear, medium yellow with a green hue. The nose is a little closed with ripe pear, a touch of petrol and some wet stone. The palate is dry, but with some residual sugar and a little petillage at the outset. The acidity is medium to medium (+) and the alcohol is medium (12.5%). The palate is medium in body and intensity, citrus and a little spice. Its lightness and flavor profile indicate a cool climate, Old World provenance. Good, but not very exciting. Drink now.

February 7, 2017 - Tasted blind. Mid gold. Medium (-) intensity on the nose yielding light honey and pear. Medium intensity on the palate yielding honey, spice, lime, some wax and spritz. The latter could be due to unintentional secondary fermentation in bottle. See this a lot in higher acidity whites like Rieslings.

The structure of the wine is medium acid and body with medium alcohol and its dry. Alcohol is 12.5% which was on the low side for the pinot gris that we tried that evening. The Alsatian and Oregon PGs were higher.

Found this wine bland. Not going to turn me onto PGs, i am afraid. Drink now.
