November 8, 2021 - Medium bodied, dark currents, plummy nose, tannic backbone. Fruit surfaces after decanting and even better day 2.

June 27, 2021 - During a blind tasting session. Meaty, plummy nose, xmas cake. Brooding, rich. Masculine but much more right bankish than the first first wine. 45% Merlot in this blend. I would stick to the Montrose first wine as it is more in style of the house.

June 16, 2021 - Decanted 2 hours and removed sediments. Wine is in secondary aroma phase movjng in to tertiary phase. Still got more years of life left. Lovely wine now. Medium body.

April 14, 2021 - Tannins are still very present but wine is lightening up a bit in color. Dark fruit, tobacco, cassis. Better on day 2, going to move the second bottle to long term storage and try again in a few years

January 30, 2021 - Nase typ. Bordeaux mit leichtem Fehlton (nicht Kork!), im Mund ebenfalls typisch , aber leichte Säure und "kantig".

(La Dame de Montrose) Very dark ruby color; lightly smoky, oak, tart plum, herbaceous nose; tight, tart currant, tart plum palate with an herbal edge and firm tannins; needs 3-plus years; medium-plus finish
