May 15, 2021 - From my posting on Instagram:
In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; people speak the truth when they are drunk), bottle #121 of my cellar sacrifices. A 2013 โBarrel Blendโ from Hill Family Estate in Napa. As the back of the bottle states, a collaboration between a surfer and a wine family are the roots of this bottle. This one was the last I had of the case and it was actually pretty good. Nice color and nose, with a somewhat long finish for an inexpensive blend. A good effort by this family! ๐๐ท๐ท๐ ๐#wine #winelover #winelovers #redblend #redblendwine #napawine #Hillfamilyestate #napa

April 25, 2020 - Drank w Tony and Levar
May 23, 2019 - Very good wine, great QPR, drinking really well.
April 29, 2019 - Remains a huge hit with the missus. Great QPR
February 16, 2019 - Originally bought this as a pounder. The missus has grown quite fond of the wine over time and has started to ration the wine for more special nights when I'm on the wagon. So I recently tried a glass and the fruit has certainly come into its own. Fairly full bodied dark blue fruit, relatively smooth. Shockingly inexpensive. Just bought another case...
December 23, 2018 - consistent with prior notes, but the vote from Maria was very high
December 19, 2018 - A really solid week-night wine. Full-bodied smooth opaque wine with integrated and not overpowering dark fruit. Good finish. Running low and will miss them.
August 6, 2018 - Solid. Wife drinks like water.
August 5, 2018 - A good find. Full bodied, on the black/purple/deep blue fruit side. Not incredibly special, but enjoyable and a great third or fourth bottle of the night. LBI friends enjoyed it.
July 7, 2018 - Nothing wrong with this wine, just doesn't do much for me. Dark red fruit, some light vanilla oak notes, tannins and a touch of acidity to keep things in check.
