December 3, 2023 - This was a bit of a reversal from many of the other vintages I have had of this wine. Normally I go in knowing it’s going to be better on day 2. On day 1 thought this was vibrant and pure, bright blue fruits with just a hint of game. I couldn’t put it down. Day2 it showed more chalk and mineral, it dried out. Both days it was good just two different animals.

November 18, 2023 - Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose of ripe blackberry jam, vanilla, toasty oak, purple florals. Still very primary for a 10+ year old wine. Similar flavors on the palate with a slightly brambly, blackberry and black cherry pie profile with a very smooth mouthfeel and a touch of sweet oak on the finish. Medium acid. Sweet tannins mostly resolved. Long finish. Paired great with a smoky and slightly sweet and spicy grilled prime pork chop.

October 28, 2023 - Lovely Syrah with strong blackberry and cinnamon and pepper flavors. Paired well with veal stuffed mushrooms.

April 24, 2023 - PnP. Color is berry deep ruby. On the nose: Plum, pepper, vanilla and cassis. On the palate: Plum, dark chocolate, pepper and violets. This is really in a good place. Very tasty.

February 13, 2023 - Quite soft and accessible with good fruit and noticeable vanilla from American oak. Not overpowering, just simply enjoyable. Drink now. Tasted several times.
