Community Tasting Notes 22

    December 24, 2023 - Perfect cork.
    Light gold, not heavily coloured.
Very clean youthful fragrance, no signs of oxidation, crushed herbs and lanolin, light tropical fruits and soft spice.
Delicious ripe fruit, citrus and tropical blend, lightly zesty sherbet, fine lingering spice. This is remarkably youthful and poles apart from the last bottle I had. Lemon pith and lanolin, presents like a faded version of its youth. In a way I miss the oxidative complexity, just a bit. Delicious, refined, refreshing.

October 1, 2022 - Special, mature bouquet with some flor/sherry impressions. On the palate oaky and tasty and full bodied. The wine was still ok to drink, but not the way it should be. According to the owner a faulty bottle and I believe him. No score.

    January 26, 2020 - Deep yellow hue.
Straw, lanolin, lemon zest, tropical fruits. A hint of oxidative character.
Intense, lots of structure, powerful middle and long zesty finish. Lemon zest, rich spicy herbaceousness, creamy lanolin, classic old sem-sav flavours. Everything in balance, youthful intensity, drinking beautifully now.

March 6, 2018 - Waxy, almost with a sherry/oxidized note to it. A scotch drinkers wine
